Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Primary Mental Health Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of Thrive, a service that identifies mental health difficulties at an early stage and provides support to promote resilience and positive mental health.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work within the Getting Advice Quadrant 1 of the Thrive Model, providing advice, guidance, signposting, and training to community partners, as well as consultation and short-term 1:1 or group intervention for children and young people on a needs-led basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing the skills and knowledge of community partners in children and young people's mental health
  • Working directly with children, young people, and their families to provide support and guidance
  • Collaborating with colleagues from a wide range of professions and organizations to ensure the mental health needs of children and young people are met

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A professional qualification and training in either Registered Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy
  • Several years of experience working in a child and adolescent mental health team or equivalent
  • Able to work autonomously with confidence in your abilities and knowledge
