Job Summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Primary Mental Health Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team in the development and delivery of Thrive, a mental health service that promotes resilience and enables positive mental health.

As a Primary Mental Health Worker, you will work within the Getting Advice Quadrant 1 of the Thrive Model, offering advice, guidance, signposting, and training to community partners, as well as consultation and short-term 1:1 or group interventions for children and young people on a needs-led basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strong relationships with community partners and families to ensure effective service delivery

• Provide advice, guidance, signposting, and training to community partners

• Offer consultation and short-term 1:1 or group interventions for children and young people on a needs-led basis

• Work collaboratively with colleagues from a wide range of professions and organizations to ensure seamless service delivery

• Utilize your skills and experience to make a positive impact on the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people

Person Specification:

• Professional qualification and training in either Registered Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy

• Ability to think systemically and holistically, with demonstrable knowledge and understanding of children and young people's emotional and mental health

• Several years of experience working in a child and adolescent mental health team or equivalent

• Ability to work autonomously with confidence in your abilities and knowledge
