Senior Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Practitioner to join our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in North Lancashire and South Cumbria. The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time basis to deliver mental health support across a range of educational settings.
Main Responsibilities
The Senior Practitioner will work with children, young people, and their families on a one-to-one or group basis, using a variety of interventions to identify needs and achieve positive outcomes. They will also work in partnership with parents/carers to empower them and enable them to achieve better outcomes for their children.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant qualification, at NVQ level 4/5, may meet the above knowledge requirements.
- Awareness of factors impacting on and issues facing vulnerable children and young people and families.
- Knowledge of child/young people development.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and promoting the welfare of children.
