Geriatrician Specialist

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking 12 full-time Substantive Consultant Geriatricians to join our Older People's Services team at Whipps Cross University Hospital.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe appointee will be expected to cover the following main areas of work:
- Participate in clinical governance and provide comprehensive care of elderly patients in and out of hospital.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop a service model in keeping with best practice.
- Lead and participate in the multidisciplinary team, and supervise junior staff.
- Develop and organise services in line with Trust business plans.
The ideal candidate will have:
- MRCP or equivalent specialist qualification.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Higher specialist training in Geriatrics and G(I)Medicine.
- Broad experience in Geriatrics and G(I)M.
- Current ALS certificate.
