Senior Synthetic Chemist

Main Responsibilities- Execute laboratory work following provided synthetic routes and contribute ideas to other projects when problems arise during synthesis.
- Design and develop chemistry for custom synthesis projects.
- Work efficiently in the laboratory to meet project deadlines.
- Carry out characterization and data analysis.
- Perform all laboratory work in a safe manner and comply with regulations, adhering to company policies.
- Manage Synthetic Chemist 1, Synthetic Technicians, or industrial placement students where applicable.
- MSc or PhD graduate chemist with industry experience in large-scale manufacturing.
- Proven record in a wide range of synthetic chemistry.
- Experience in carbohydrate, nucleoside, or related research is an advantage.
- Experience in process development for large-scale manufacturing – ideally with experience of 20 ltr scale chemistry process.
- Process chemistry experience would be desirable.
