**Job Title:** Design Specialist / Technical Drafter

**Job Type:** Contract

**Location:** Remote (with occasional site visits)

**Contract Length:** 6 months+

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement design solutions from requirements through concept design to detailed design.
  • Interpret and analyze customer requirements to ensure accurate design implementation.
  • Plan and implement standard design processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Produce high-quality output using CAD software.
  • Represent the design team on a technical basis at meetings and provide technical advice as needed.
  • Assist design staff in the output of designs and provide technical support.
  • Process designs through the design authorization process for implementation.
  • Perform technical checking of drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Adhere to the company's quality system and site processes in design activities.
  • Act in accordance with the company's policy on Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, and Equal Opportunities.

**Requirements:**

  • HNC or equivalent qualification and/or completed an apprenticeship in the related discipline.
  • 12 months relevant experience.

**Security Clearance:**

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
