Job Title: Firearms Training Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Firearms Training Specialist to join our team at the Civil Nuclear Constabulary. As a Firearms Training Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting all aspects of firearms training delivery, including coaching, designing training content, and assessing firearms officers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of firearms training to a broad range of officers, from initial firearms courses to experienced firearms officers completing refresher training and specialist courses.
- Design and develop training content, including lesson plans and assessments, to ensure that firearms officers receive the highest level of training.
- Coach and mentor firearms officers to develop their skills and knowledge in firearms tactics and weapon handling.
- Assess the competence of firearms officers and provide feedback to improve their performance.
- Collaborate with other training specialists to develop and implement training programs that meet the needs of the Civil Nuclear Constabulary.
Requirements:
- Current and competent National Firearms Instructor certification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in delivering firearms training to a broad range of officers.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and deliver training content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
