Strategic Attendance Lead

Grade: Grade 6 – Actual salary £27, – £32,

Hours: 37 hours per week term time plus 5 teacher training days

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team at The Romero Catholic Academy as a Strategic Attendance Lead. This role will play a crucial part in increasing school attendance and addressing low attendance among our students.

The successful candidate will lead on our Attendance strategy, managing a caseload of students with additional needs and their families. This will involve home visits to families within our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective attendance strategies to improve student attendance
  • Work closely with students, families, and staff to identify and address attendance issues
  • Manage a caseload of students with additional needs and their families
  • Collaborate with other agencies to provide support and resources for families
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of attendance strategies

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of intervention work with children, young people, and their families
  • Experience in supporting and engaging hard-to-reach families and delivering packages of support
  • Knowledge of Early Help assessments and current Child Protection procedures
  • NVQ3 or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and develop positive relationships
