  • We can play a key role in multidisciplinary teams and take a lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
  • We lead and manage a team of professionals delivering planning/schedule management services and are responsible for staff development.
  • We have excellent written communication skills, clear and concise.
  • We stay up to date with key industry/professional trends.
  • We have in-depth knowledge of schedule management tools and software.
  • We can provide effective and timely advice to clients.
  • We understand data management.
  • We clearly understand our role and future career paths available from that position.
  • We have excellent attention to detail and can validate and check schedule management inputs, recording, and reports produced, providing basic commentary and analysis.
  • We manage Assistants and seniors where required by the scale of the project.

This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of a diverse range of programmes for a wide variety of clients, using a commercial sector approach to deliver public value outcomes.

Requirements

  • We require exposure to working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large-scale complex construction projects ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a client-side consultancy.
  • We require a construction-related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent).
  • We are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and lead strong, motivated teams.
  • We have experience of working on large projects/programmes.
  • We require a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow our career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
  • We work in a large portfolio of projects.
  • We mentor and upskill inexperienced planners.
  • We implement planning principles within the project management community.
  • We work with a large range of stakeholders.
  • We plan complicated construction new build/refurbishment projects and summarise these into portfolio-level schedules.
  • We are experienced P6 users (P6 Pro).
  • We are familiar with P6 EPPM (Web) – for config management.
  • We manage large data sets into simple reporting formats, through coding and layout manipulation.
  • We have baseline control and config.
  • We schedule import and export.

Additional Requirements

  • We have NEC/JCT/D&B/CM experience.
  • We have experience in construction – living accommodation, offices, workshops, sports facilities, associated infrastructure.
  • We are familiar with other planning software – Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project.
  • We have schedule risk analysis (QSRA) experience.
  • We have P6 configuration management – user access, OBS creation and management, user profiles, OBS assignation experience.
  • We set up and use of resources – future project not yet required.
  • We use P6 for EVM – future project not yet required.
