About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Community Learning Disability Nurse to join our team in Peterborough. As a Senior Nurse, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our service, providing strong clinical leadership and supervisory support to our team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a specialist caseload, providing assessment and interventions for adults with learning disabilities.
  • Provide professional supervision to other staff and students, including appraisals and professional development.
  • Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of learning disability services, including contributing to defined projects as delegated by the CLTT/LDP management team.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, their carers, and families to make decisions relevant to the service user's individual needs.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
  • Experience of nursing assessment and intervention relevant to adults with an LD.
  • Post-qualifying experience within a community MDT.
  • Care co-ordination in CPA/Case Management experience.
  • Ability to reflect and critically appraise own performance and of those they supervise.
