Job Summary:

Jameson Legal is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Lawyer to join our team in London. As a Compliance Lawyer - Maritime and Transportation Specialist, you will provide guidance to clients across the entire spectrum of physical transportation within the sustainable maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on air pollution regulations and environmental compliance, decarbonisation, ESG, alternative and eco-friendly maritime fuels, as well as sustainable maritime technologies and solutions.
  • Handle related disputes and provide guidance to clients on physical transportation contracts.
  • Work with clients in the dynamic and challenging shipping sector, focusing on sustainable transport.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement strategies to meet the needs of our clients.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in the maritime and transportation sector, specialising in physical transportation contracts and handling related disputes.
  • Strong knowledge of air pollution regulations and environmental compliance, decarbonisation, ESG, alternative and eco-friendly maritime fuels, as well as sustainable maritime technologies and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
