Position Overview

We invite you to become a part of our dedicated team at The Highlands Practice, a prominent healthcare provider known for its commitment to excellence. We are seeking a proficient Minor Illness Nurse to provide exceptional nursing care to our patient community. In this position, you will collaborate with our skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Triage GPs within the Urgent Care Team to facilitate timely and effective treatment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver same-day consultations for patients presenting with minor health concerns
  • Serve as the initial contact for patients with unidentified medical issues
  • Exercise independent judgment and maintain precise patient documentation
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and analyze results
  • Assess patient requirements and initiate appropriate referrals
  • Ensure safe and efficient clinical practices
  • Keep clinical information systems current and accurate

Qualifications

Essential

  • Prior experience in a primary care setting
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications for the position

Desirable

  • Experience in a General Practice environment
