About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Office Manager to join our team at HITACHI EUROPE LTD. in a strategic office management role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of EBD (Environmental Business Division) EMEA operations, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and strategic analysis.
  • Provide strategic analysis of markets, innovation trends, and startups companies.
  • Drive the planning, budgeting, pacing, and reporting process of the unit, in close collaboration with the head of the unit and corporate global management.
  • Assess business ecosystems and competitive dynamics in energy, mobility, and industrial sectors.
  • Explore and analyze markets and trends in the target sectors and identify venture opportunities.
  • Scout databases, reports, and attend conferences/meetings to identify interesting startups and corporate partners and track them in a structured manner.
  • Analyze startups and corporate partners' strengths and weaknesses, assets, finance capacities, and business models.
  • Prepare regular update reports and other communications materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Support ad-hoc presentations and be the platform for operational issues with the units.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's in an area such as Finance, Business Administration, Sustainability Strategy, Technology & Information Management, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of professional experience, either or both in strategy and/or management support. Experience with startups is a plus.
  • Ability to support unit operation with impeccable inter-personal and reporting skills.
  • Versed in strategic analysis and taste for startup and corporate venture environment.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and inquisitive.
  • Extremely organized, inclination for structure, and strong time-management skills.
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand big picture and to break-down into smaller operational pieces.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Confident and credible communication skills: ability to foster collaboration across the unit and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability and taste to synthesize large amounts of information into clear and crisp messages, presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English, a second European language is a plus.
