Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Management: Manage and support a portfolio of clients, aiming to maximize sales revenue and gross margin.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends, and analyze market data to develop effective business strategies.
  • Client Relationships: Develop a deep understanding of your clients' business models, strategies, and ambitions, and proactively identify and target prospective customers within the drinks market.
  • Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative packaging solutions, and spend most of your time on the road, with a split between new and existing customers.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Record new opportunities, update and close existing opportunities on the company CRM, and provide regular reports on sales performance and business development activities.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in business development, preferably within the packaging industry, although this is not essential.
  • Skills: Strong market research and analytical skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to work independently and manage a client portfolio effectively, and proficiency in using CRM systems.
  • Personal Qualities: A 'hunter' mentality, with confidence in developing new business and door knocking, and a willingness to travel extensively within the south of the country.
Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: Competitive salary with commission paid on existing and new business.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm working hours.
