VAT Assistant Manager (Advisory Role)

Reed is seeking a highly skilled VAT Assistant Manager to join their team. With a strong focus on technical excellence and a people-centric culture, the firm offers a range of specialist tax services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the VAT Director & VAT Manager on technical VAT advisory work.
  • Manage smaller VAT advisory queries and projects, leveraging expertise.
  • Support the compliance team with VAT-related matters.
  • Contribute to VAT training within the firm.
  • Develop and implement VAT marketing initiatives.
  • Build relationships within an international network to source new work.
  • Aid in the development of the VAT offering, targeting new sectors and technical VAT areas.
  • Quote and budget for VAT work, managing billing processes.
Requirements:
  • 1-5 years' experience in providing VAT advice.
  • Knowledge in areas such as property development, construction, VAT inspection, and cross-border VAT rules is advantageous.
  • Personable, approachable, and keen to engage in marketing initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and billing software.
  • University or professional qualifications in Accountancy, Law, or Tax are beneficial.
