Nursery Room Leader Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Nursery People. Our nursery setting is located in a convenient location, close to public transportation, and offers a welcoming environment for children, parents, and carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and management for staff within the room, ensuring high-quality childcare is provided to all children.
  • Implement and follow the EYFS to an exemplary standard, ensuring a safe and well-resourced environment.
  • Identify training needs and support staff development, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Assist in staff recruitment, prepare the staffing rota, and support the induction of new staff members.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in managing a room in a nursery setting.
  • Full and relevant Early Years qualification, preferably a higher Early Years qualification.
  • Full understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding training, and paediatric first aid.
  • Valid DBS check.
  • An understanding of budgets and resource requirements and able to manage a small room budget.
