Nursery Room Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Nursery People. Our nursery setting is a welcoming and modern environment that provides high-quality childcare to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and management to staff within the room, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement and maintain the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to ensure high-quality care and education for children.
  • Identify training needs and support staff development to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in staff recruitment and preparation of the staffing rota.
  • Support the induction of new staff members and ensure a smooth transition into the team.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in managing a nursery room, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and education.
  • Full and relevant Early Years qualification, preferably at a higher level.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team, with a focus on staff well-being and development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding training, and paediatric first aid.
  • Valid DBS check and ability to manage a small room budget.
