Nursery Room Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Nursery People. Our nursery is a welcoming and modern setting, located close to Crawley, West Sussex, with excellent transport links.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management for staff within the room, ensuring high-quality childcare is provided to all children.
  • Implement and follow the EYFS to an exemplary standard, identifying training needs and supporting staff development.
  • Be involved in staff recruitment, assist with the staffing rota, and support the induction of new staff members.
Requirements:
  • Significant previous experience of managing a room in a nursery setting.
  • Full and relevant Early Years qualification, preferably a higher Early Years qualification.
  • Full understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding training, and paediatric first aid.
  • Valid DBS check.
  • An understanding of budgets and resource requirements and able to manage a small room budget.
