Position Overview

Role Summary:

  • Oversee the Management Accountant and Finance Analyst teams.
  • Accountable for proactive expense management and Profit & Loss reporting.
  • Lead the forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis for introducers.
  • Collaborate within the Finance team to critically assess current practices, enhance processes, and implement automation where feasible.
  • Assist the Finance Manager as required.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Month-End reports in collaboration with the Financial Accountant, Credit Risk, and Management Information teams.
  • Manage expenses and work closely with various business units to ensure compliance with budget and forecast through monthly evaluations.
  • Coordinate with the Financial Accountant to ensure that payments to external parties align with cost management and purchase order protocols.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, maintaining the relevant models, inputs, and assumptions.
  • Conduct profitability analysis for introducers, collaborating with Risk and Operations to identify key drivers and monitor results.
  • Support the Finance Manager and Financial Accountant during the external audit process and address any arising inquiries.
  • Challenge existing workflows and seek opportunities to automate processes to enhance control and efficiency.

Candidate Qualifications:

Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with PanCredit, CODA, Sage Intacct, and SAS is advantageous.

Skills: Team-oriented, Effective Communicator, Advanced Excel Proficiency.

Mindset: Positive, proactive, and an advocate for change, focused on enhancing operational efficiency and adding value.

Education and Experience:

  • Qualified CIMA, ACA, or ACCA professional.
  • Experience in the Financial Services sector is preferred.
