Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated personal care assistant to provide support for a young individual in need of assistance. This role involves a commitment of 10 hours per week, with potential for additional hours on a flexible basis.



Client Profile and Support Requirements:
We are looking for compassionate and skilled personal care assistants to help maintain the independence of our client while fostering social connections. The client enjoys a variety of activities, including crafts, shopping, and attending local events. Your role will involve accompanying them to various outings and ensuring their safety both at home and in the community.

The client is described as kind-hearted and a joy to work with. As part of the care team, you will need to be adaptable, as daily tasks may vary. Reliability, empathy, and respect are essential qualities for this position. Strong communication skills are also necessary to align with established policies and procedures.

Training will be conducted to meet CQC standards. Previous care experience is valued but not mandatory unless otherwise specified.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure required (cost covered by HomeCareDirect)
  • This position is exempt under The Equality Act 2010, requiring female support workers only
  • A valid UK driving licence and personal vehicle are essential
  • Commitment to long-term care for one client in a person-centred manner
  • Willingness to undergo training to meet client needs
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Reliability, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude
  • Commitment to confidentiality and respect for the client’s dignity
