Pensions Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Administrator to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock. As a Pensions Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring the smooth administration of their Defined Benefit pension schemes.
Key Responsibilities- Continuing to broaden your technical knowledge and expertise in pensions administration
- Understanding and implementing complex processes for cases such as divorce, members with large benefits, and tax issues, while ensuring adherence to procedures
- Carrying out complex calculations and checking those performed by junior colleagues
- Staying up-to-date with changes in legislation and highlighting necessary changes for client communications, calculations, or practices
- Showing awareness of special conditions for certain clients and scheme-specific requirements
- Participating in efficiency drives for clients, identifying improvements, and implementing best practices
- Getting involved in departmental initiatives and projects that benefit the department
- Drafting complex non-standard letters and checking those drafted by others
- Mentoring and training junior colleagues
- A minimum of 3 years of UK DB pensions administration experience
- Educated to 'A' level, degree level, or equivalent
- Making good progress towards relevant training courses and subsequent exams to gain the Award in Pensions Essentials (APE) and the Certificate in Pensions Calculations (CPC)
- Awareness and understanding of the role of relevant external bodies, such as the PPF and tPR
- Well-organized and thorough, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with fluctuating workloads and the ability to use initiative
- Able to maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times, with good organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Flexibility in working hours and duties, with a willingness to learn
