Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Food Production Supervisor to join our team at Supreme Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, overseeing the preparation and setup of production lines, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Start-up Procedures: Conduct thorough start-up checks to ensure equipment and processes are ready for production.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with OS chiller and machine operators to ensure job priorities are met and updates are shared.
- Line Preparation: Prepare and efficiently set up production lines to ensure smooth operation.
- Packaging & Label Collection: Collect packaging and labels from the packaging store and ensure Quality Control checks all labels and packaging before starting the line.
- Fruit Checks: Verify the correct variety and job number are present in the Wet area for the job at hand.
- Team Briefing: Instruct packers and line hygiene staff on upcoming jobs, providing clear directions as needed.
- Documentation: Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring records are up to date.
- Continuous Monitoring: Monitor the production sheet for any updates, such as additional fruit or packaging requirements.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of production line operations and procedures.
- Experience in similar roles, with a focus on line leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
What We Offer:
Competitive rates of pay, ranging from £12.13 to £13.79 per hour, depending on experience.
