Food Production Line Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Production Line Team Lead to join our team at Supreme Recruitment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Start-up Procedures: Conduct thorough start-up checks to ensure equipment and processes are ready for production.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with OS chiller and machine operators to ensure job priorities are met and updates are shared.
- Line Preparation: Prepare and efficiently set up production lines for smooth operation.
- Packaging & Label Collection: Collect packaging and labels from the packaging store and ensure Quality Control checks all labels and packaging before production.
- Fruit Checks: Verify the correct variety and job number are present in the Wet area for each job.
- Team Briefing: Provide clear instructions to packers and line hygiene staff on upcoming jobs and tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring records are up-to-date.
- Continuous Monitoring: Monitor production sheets for updates and order extra materials as needed, ensuring Quality Control checks them before use.
- Quality Control: Ensure Quality Control checks all extra bags and flow wrap samples before use in production.
- End-of-Job Procedures: Remove packaging from the line after each job and return it to the packaging department, ensuring the line is clean and ready for the next task.
- Status Updates: Update job status on production sheets according to SOPs and ensure all details are recorded.
- Completion Reporting: Report to the Packhouse Manager once all orders are completed.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators to monitor team performance and production efficiency.
- Timely Completion: Ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time, with legible and fully completed paperwork.
- Hygiene Compliance: Ensure staff and packaging comply with hygiene regulations at all times.
- Auditing & Reporting: Prepare and submit various reports, including audit reports, profit and loss reports, downtime reports, external and internal rejection reports, and overtime and ETI reports.
Requirements:
- Strong enthusiasm, self-confidence, and self-motivation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexible and proactive approach to tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially in documentation and compliance.
Work Schedule: 12 hour shift, every weekend, with overtime opportunities.
Work Location: In-person at our production facility.
