About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Communications Lead to join our team at South West London Integrated Care Board. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that supports our organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic communications plan that aligns with our organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Lead the corporate communications team to deliver high-quality communications that engage our stakeholders and promote our brand.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to develop and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy that supports our business objectives.
  • Provide strategic communications advice and support to our senior leaders and teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, partners, and community groups.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide regular reports to senior leaders.
  • Develop and implement a crisis communications plan to ensure effective response to media inquiries and public relations issues.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a channel strategy to disseminate content across all our owned channels.
  • Support the development and implementation of a content strategy that engages our target audiences and promotes our brand.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to our communications team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality communications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in strategic communications, preferably in a healthcare or public sector organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze media coverage and develop effective responses.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
