Detailed Job Description

The Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiology Research Fellow to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting research in cardiology, working closely with our clinicians and researchers to design, implement, and evaluate studies.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Designing and implementing research studies in cardiology, including data collection and analysis
  • Working closely with clinicians and researchers to develop and implement research protocols
  • Presenting research findings at national and international conferences
  • Collaborating with other researchers and clinicians to develop new research ideas and projects

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and use initiative

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good computer/IT research skills

Experience

Essential criteria include:

  • Completion of Core Medical Training

Desirable criteria include:

  • Evidence of involvement in audit and research projects

Qualifications

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • Eligibility or valid/relevant GMC registration
  • Basic medical qualification
  • MRCP
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
