Role Overview:

As a Trainee Pensions Administrator, you will be engaged in various essential tasks that contribute to the effective management of pension schemes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Calculating member benefits through both automated systems and manual processes, with complexity increasing as you gain experience.
  • Drafting standard letters to communicate with members, clients, and advisors, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
  • Maintaining accurate records in the client database and updating member information diligently.
  • Inputting data for bulk updates and generating reports, while performing verification checks to ensure data integrity.
  • Responding to inquiries from members and clients, utilizing standard templates or crafting personalized responses as needed.
  • Handling general telephone inquiries and providing support to scheme members on a daily basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A-level education, degree, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous experience in an office environment is advantageous, though specific pensions experience is not mandatory.
  • A commitment to pursuing professional qualifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently while also being an effective team player, managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing workloads.
