Job Description

As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our terminals and engineering projects. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the design of new engineering terminals and manage contractors to maintain safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize tank and pipework inspections within the specified time period, adhering to EEMUA and API rules.
  • Assess and follow up on recommendations resulting from inspections, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Set up engineering projects, including negotiating costs and arranging major maintenance requirements.
  • Carry out site inspections to assess work needed to maintain standards, including organizing meter proving and plant hose testing.
  • Assist with oil loss investigations and compile local plant procedures, including emergency procedures.
  • Arrange training for plant work, such as quayside work and confined space entry.
  • Apply a system of work control procedures to ensure the safe working of all tasks and projects, including method statements, risk assessments, and work permits.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
