Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Inverness. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and implementation of new engineering terminals, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design of new engineering terminals and manage contractors to maintain safety standards.
  • Protect the company from prosecution by competent authorities, such as HSE and SEPA, for terminals and engineering projects.
  • Organize tank and pipework inspections within time periods as per EEMUA and API rules.
  • Assess and follow up on recommendations resulting from inspections.
  • Set up engineering projects, including negotiating costs and arranging major maintenance requirements.
  • Carry out site inspections to assess work required to maintain standards.
  • Assist with oil loss investigations and explanations.
  • Compile local plant procedures and emergency procedures.
  • Arrange training for plant work, such as quayside work and confined space entry.

Requirements:

  • Strong engineering background and experience in project management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
