Physiotherapist - Specialist Mental Health Service

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our Specialist Mental Health Service in Waitaha, Canterbury. This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and working at the forefront of an innovative service.

About the Role

This part-time permanent role will report directly to the Clinical Leader of Physiotherapy and will involve working in our Adult Inpatient, Forensic Mental Health and Specialty Services. You will be responsible for planning and providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment in partnership with Specialist Mental Health Service consumers who have mobility, functional and developmental difficulties with their physical and mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with consumers, their whanau/family, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide quality patient-centred care.
  • Use appropriate physiotherapy interventions for each consumer.
  • Registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board with current Annual Practising Certificate is essential.
