Physiotherapist - Specialist Mental Health Service

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our Specialist Mental Health Service in Waitaha, Canterbury. This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and working at the forefront of an innovative service.

About the Role

This part-time permanent role will report directly to the Clinical Leader of Physiotherapy and will have a focus on our Adult Inpatient, Forensic Mental Health and Specialty Services. You will work collaboratively with the consumer, their whanau/family, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide quality patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment in partnership with Specialist Mental Health Service consumers who have mobility, functional and developmental difficulties with their physical and mental health.
  • Use appropriate physiotherapy interventions for each consumer.
  • Work collaboratively with the consumer, their whanau/family, and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide quality patient-centred care.
  • Registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board with current Annual Practising Certificate is essential.
