About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diversity and Inclusion Specialist to join our team at School Improvement Liverpool. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to maximize their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement inclusive strategies that promote student engagement and participation.
- Provide individualized support to students with SEND, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and promotes social cohesion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure effective communication and support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to inclusion and diversity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in working with students with SEND and developing inclusive strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in inclusion and diversity.
