Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement sustainability strategies and roadmaps for Veolia UK & I.
  • Track, report, and communicate progress against sustainability objectives.
  • Oversee compliance with both regulatory and voluntary ESG reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with various business units to launch sustainability initiatives that benefit our workforce, clientele, and communities.
  • Ensure the provision of accurate sustainability data and content for internal and external communications.
  • Develop educational materials and training programs focused on sustainability.
  • Lead research projects and thought-leadership initiatives in sustainability.
  • Revise and enhance sustainability policies and procedures.
  • Represent Veolia in industry forums and at client events.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in an environmentally-focused organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainability legislation.
  • Familiarity with global sustainability frameworks such as UN SDG, TCFD, TNFD, SBTI, GRI, SECR, SASB, CDP.
  • Proficiency in data management systems and sustainability tools (e.g., PowerBi, LCA, EcoVadis).
  • Experience in reporting and briefing on sustainability issues to stakeholders.
  • Background in Water, Waste, or Energy sectors is advantageous.
