Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the premises to a high standard, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our staff and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to the premises, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and regulations, including regular checks and maintenance of equipment and systems.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including maintenance schedules and repair records.
- Communication: Liaise with staff and management to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory of tools and equipment, ensuring they are stored safely and securely.
- Environmental Health: Ensure compliance with environmental health regulations, including waste disposal and recycling.
- Fire Safety: Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including regular checks and maintenance of fire equipment and systems.
- Security: Ensure the security of the premises, including regular checks and maintenance of security systems and equipment.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in maintenance and repair, such as City & Guilds or NVQ.
- Experience: Proven experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a similar environment.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational: Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
