Job Title: Learning and Development Adviser

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Adviser to join our team at South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver corporate induction programs to ensure a consistent high-quality onboarding experience for new colleagues.
  • Develop and deliver learning face-to-face and virtual workshops, eLearning, quick guides, and videos for existing colleagues.
  • Work closely with the People Services and Digital teams to manage learning and development requests from employees and departments.
  • Track mandatory learning initiatives and ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Lead and manage various L&D projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate the development and updating of learning content in line with current policies and regulations.
  • Prepare regular reports on learning and development activities, including participation rates, completion of mandatory training, and the effectiveness of programs.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Learning and Development role.
  • Delivered face-to-face and virtual workshops.
  • Skilled in managing Learning experience/management platforms and content.
  • Proficient in the design of eLearning and the use of authoring tools.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Experience managing and delivering a Corporate Induction.
  • Fantastic customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • CIPD or other relevant qualification.
