Job Title: Hotel Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Accountant to join our team at Graduate Hotels. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement financial policies and procedures to maintain financial control and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to the hotel's management and ownership.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller and management team to prepare the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to department heads and management.
  • Maintain internal control procedures to safeguard the hotel's assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Conduct regular financial audits to identify and rectify discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors for tax filings.
  • Review invoices and contracts for accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Support the Financial Controller to coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual financial audits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of hotel accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Good knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
