Position Overview

Safety and Technical Compliance Manager – Facilities Management

This role presents an excellent opportunity to become part of a leading Facilities Management organization, contributing to the success of a prominent client site.

Working Hours: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical and safety assurance management, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to ensure compliance and effective safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage a Competency Management System (CMS).
  • Plan, schedule, and execute audits and assurance activities.
  • Provide support to mitigate priority resilience risks as necessary.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including files, logbooks, policies, and training materials.
  • Oversee and coordinate annual reviews of technical documentation.
  • Develop and manage assurance/compliance dashboards, analyze data, identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support the development and management of the Engineering communication strategy.
  • Offer technical author support through drafting, peer review, approval, and publication of new technical documents.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to manage the technical Corrective Action database, identifying and communicating trends, risks, and opportunities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum HND-Level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent technical experience.
  • Possession of, or willingness to pursue, a NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent, along with professional technical registration (e.g., IEng or higher with IET).
  • Strong writing, editing, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Confined Space, or L8 CP/AP (one or more).
  • Familiarity with safety and technical compliance standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety and risk management principles, including current legislation and ISO standards.
  • Experience with quality management systems, ensuring high levels of procedural, technical, and HSE compliance.
  • Able to provide expert advice on technical and safety management matters.
  • Experience in guiding organizations on best practices in technical and safety management.
  • Proficient in IT applications including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Smartsheets, Visio, and PowerBI.
