Position Overview

Senior Technical Assurance Engineer – Facilities Management – Competitive Salary with Comprehensive Benefits.

Work Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering expert technical assurance support to the Wellbeing, Sustainability, and Assurance teams, collaborating closely with the Senior Technical Assurance Engineer and the Technical and Safety Assurance Director.
  • Conducting identification, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of Authorized Personnel.
  • Performing thorough technical compliance audits and generating detailed reports.
  • Providing support to mitigate critical resilience risks as necessary.
  • Ensuring that Safe Systems of Work for "Significant Risk" remain effective and compliant with relevant technical, safety, and legislative standards through regular assessments.
  • Assisting in the creation, development, and delivery of technical and safety assurance documentation, including logbooks, policies, training materials, and other Integrated Management System documents.
  • Contributing to the implementation of the Enterprise-level Technical and Safety Competence Management System through evaluation, gap analysis, and assessment of technical and safety competencies.
  • Ensuring that new technical documents, such as Compliance Bulletins, Directives, and Alerts, are accurately drafted, peer-reviewed, approved, and published.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of a minimum HND-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent technical experience, with IEng professional status.
  • Demonstrable experience and qualifications as an Authorized Person/Authorising Engineer, with at least 5 years of relevant operational and maintenance experience.
  • Experience in HTM, MOD, and Pharmaceutical sectors is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety and risk management principles, including current legislation, management practices, and ISO standards.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, ensuring high levels of procedural, technical, and HSE compliance.
  • Ability to interpret and provide authoritative guidance on technical management matters.
  • Experience in advising businesses on best practices in technical management.
  • Strong writing, editing, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in IT applications including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Smartsheets, and Visio.
