Job Title: Senior Technical Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients' projects.

About the Role

The Senior Technical Safety Engineer will be responsible for leading safety design activities and managing resources on various projects. You will work closely with other engineering disciplines and project management, demonstrating strong persuasion and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis, calculations, and engineering studies to produce technical safety deliverables in line with company standards and international codes.
  • Develop safety-related deliverables, including Loss Prevention Activities, Risk Analysis, HSE-related Philosophies, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Studies, HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL assessments.
  • Supervise and guide team members to ensure technical standards and production schedules are met.
  • Review and approve documents and drawings produced by others according to departmental procedures.
  • Provide technical support and solutions for safety design requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage discipline or multidisciplinary interfaces related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Participate in developing company standards and procedures.
  • Assist with man-hour estimates and planning for proposals and projects.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in technical safety aspects and deliverables within the energy sector.
  • Proven experience in Risk Identification and Assessment.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, accredited by a recognized chartered engineering institute.
  • Chartered Engineer or certified process safety practitioner status is preferred.
