About the Role

Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Associate to support the rapid growth of its Tourism Economics (TE) business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Support the growth in subscription revenues across the TE business.
  • Lead Generation: Lead research & qualification of new business leads for purposes of outreach.
  • Account Management: Set up new business meetings for the regional Commercial Managers & meet set KPIs.
  • Product Expertise: To become proficient at providing demonstrations of TE services.
  • Market Analysis: Identify market changes and adjust sales approach accordingly.
  • Product Champion: Become a product champion - develop a strong knowledge of TE subscription services and their application.
  • Marketing Support: Liaise and support Commercial Managers on their marketing strategy, requirements, and campaigns.
  • Prospecting: Generate and manage prospecting lists from internal and external events, research, and referrals.
Business Reporting & Analysis
  • Opportunity Tracking: Track and communicate opportunities, challenges, and feedback.
  • Sales Activity: Use Salesforce for all sales activity.
  • Monthly Reporting: Monthly reporting – performance of sales and regional updates.
  • Product Feedback: Gather and report on internal and external product feedback, suggestions, and product development ideas.
Requirements
  • Sales Experience: A proven, demonstratable sales track record, with at least 2 years of experience in a B2B environment selling subscription or information based services.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Presentation Skills: Strong presentation and writing skills, confident on the phone with prospects/clients.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Salesforce & Excel.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaborate with different teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Economics Background: Economics or international affairs or marketing degree preferred.
  • Phone Sales Experience: Phone sales experience along with face-to-face selling.
  • Research Experience: Experience selling in research and data services.
  • Network: Existing network of contacts.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with SalesNavigator, Sales Loft, and additional speaking language.
