Position Overview

Vickerstock is excited to collaborate with a prominent player in the European Food Production sector, seeking a Project Lead in Technical Operations to enhance their retail division.

In this pivotal role, you will serve as a vital liaison for the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) sector, overseeing a diverse array of client interactions while working closely with a high-achieving Technical Team.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate collaboration between clients and the organization, managing all facets of technical initiatives
  • Establish timelines, delegate tasks, and track project progress
  • Compile reports for senior management regarding project status
  • Plan and execute technical initiatives
  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables
  • Identify tasks and necessary resources
  • Uphold the company's integrity through constructive actions and a positive demeanor
  • Represent the FSQ department positively and proactively during client meetings

Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Food Industry, ideally in Quality or Technical roles
  • Higher-level qualification in Food Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with the operational practices of major UK retailers
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and key stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • Possession of a valid UK Driving Licence
