AtkinsRéalis is seeking a driven and experienced Associate Director to lead our dynamic team of river engineers. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to transformative projects across diverse sectors, including water management, aviation, defense, energy, and urban development.

Your Impact
  • Project Ownership: Direct and manage multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering high-quality technical designs for river engineering and flood defense solutions.
  • Strategic Planning: Define project scopes, develop bid proposals, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of our river engineering practice.
  • Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Team Development: Foster a collaborative and supportive environment, mentoring and developing engineers to enhance their skills and expertise.
Your Expertise

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in river engineering. You will possess:

  • Chartered Civil Engineer status or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience leading design delivery projects, including multidisciplinary teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of flood defense systems, hydraulic structures, and related design standards.
  • A strong understanding of both traditional engineering approaches and nature-based solutions for river management.
