Role Overview
As a pivotal member of our Central Services team, the Business Analyst will support the Technology divisions in modernizing and enhancing outdated infrastructure and services. This role involves the migration of applications to upgraded systems and improving our processes for identifying and monitoring obsolescence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analyses to ensure that suitable solutions are identified and designed to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong experience across the full software development lifecycle, with proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Understand and develop operating models for projects and programs, ensuring alignment with current and target states.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively at all levels, providing clarity on business change impacts and coordinating application migration activities.
  • Produce high-quality outputs ranging from high-level specifications to detailed functional documents, adhering to established standards.
  • Utilize BPMN 2.0 for developing business processes, applying innovative thinking to challenge existing methodologies.
  • Exhibit proactive problem-solving skills, exercising independent judgment and influencing decisions as necessary.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and solution requirements using various techniques from the BA Toolkit, including process models and wireframes.
  • Provide both functional and technical expertise to Technology teams, ensuring comprehensive requirements documentation.
  • Manage complexity and change while being aware of the technical impacts on the organization.
  • Quickly assimilate business context and knowledge to support the organization through the requirements gathering, design, and testing phases.
  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, employing diverse business analysis methods.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree-level education with ISEB/BCS BA Diploma certification or equivalent IIBA certification (e.g., CBAP).
  • A proven track record as a Business Analyst with significant experience in technical/software development projects.
  • Experience in full lifecycle development, particularly in SharePoint migration.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Business Analyst role.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a financial or regulatory setting.
  • Understanding of business architecture and related principles.
  • Experience in Data Management, including data journeys, analysis, integration, and migration.
  • Support for scaled Agile methodologies within Waterfall environments.
  • Certification in recognized delivery methods such as Agile or DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Project Management, resource allocation, and time management.
