Commodity Trading Risk Manager

Richard James Recruitment Specialists Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Commodity Trading Risk Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our Middle Office team, you will be responsible for managing risk across various commodity trading desks, including Oil, Gas, Power, and Metals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce daily PnL and Risk reports for the London Oil trading desk, as well as supporting other desks covering the commodity spectrum.
  • Develop non-linear risk reporting for option portfolios and improve the enhanced reporting platform and risk decomposition.
  • Communicate changes to risk profile to management with clear narrative and commercial understanding.
  • Collaborate with business lines to embed risk awareness and culture into everyday processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a highly numerate subject, such as Mathematics, Financial Mathematics, or Mathematical Finance.
  • 1-5 years' experience in Middle Office/Product Control/Risk Management in an Energy/Commodities trading environment, with Oil experience highly preferred.
  • Fluent English, speaking and writing, and advanced Excel skills, VBA, SQL, and Python.
  • Data visualization experience with Tableau or Dash.
