Job Summary:
Alexander Dennis is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing essential financial information for the provision of actual results to the wider NFI Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations, foreign exchange (FX) analysis, and related recharges, collaborating closely with business unit teams to resolve any variances.
- Liaise with business unit teams to account for overheads, preparing and analyzing month-to-month overheads, and reviewing general ledger activity to correct discrepancies within specific GL accounts.
- Calculate and process central accruals and prepayments.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide cover for other team members as required during month-end tasks.
- Support NFI Group Accounting roadmap initiatives as needed.
- Undertake any other ad hoc tasks as directed by the Group Financial Reporting Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements:
- Confident communicator, who can build relationships across a range of functions within the business.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving mentality and ability to carry out multiple tasks with deadlines in mind.
- High level of proactivity to help the business drive continuous improvement.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working within a large finance function with exposure to foreign exchange.
