Solar Regional Manager

We are seeking an experienced and customer-obsessed leader to drive regional growth in our Coventry office. As a Solar Regional Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of solar operations within your region, combining leadership, operational management, and customer-focused strategies to ensure the successful implementation of solar projects from customer enquiry through to installation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regional Operational Leadership: Own the operational delivery of solar projects within the region, ensuring that every installation is completed to the highest standards, and support a team of function managers and onboarding specialists to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 2-4 multi-skilled team leaders as well as a team of sales and onboarding specialists, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensure teams are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development programs.
  • Customer Experience and Service Excellence: Take ownership of the customer journey from customer enquiry, through sales to post-sale onboarding to installation, ensuring a seamless and positive experience, and handle escalated customer issues, transforming challenges into opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Business and Performance Management: Drive the achievement of key performance metrics, including sales, installation throughput, team satisfaction, and customer feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an integrated regional business plan.
  • Quality, Compliance, and Safety: Ensure all solar installations meet high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations, and work closely with the Compliance Team to maintain and enhance safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Strategic Planning and Innovation: Identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the solar industry and proactively adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge, and collaborate with other Regional Managers and stakeholders to develop and implement cross-regional initiatives that drive growth and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to guide teams in delivering exceptional customer service, with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
  • Operational Excellence: Experience in driving operational efficiency, managing resources effectively, and delivering results in a high-growth environment.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using data and analytics to inform decisions, optimise processes, and track performance metrics.
  • Project Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
  • Compliance and Safety: Knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and compliance requirements in the solar sector.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across different functions and build strong internal and external relationships.
