Job Description

Leonardo UK Ltd is a global leader in defence electronics, delivering mission-critical systems for situational awareness, electronic warfare, and surveillance across land, sea, and air. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Subcontract Buyer to join our Edinburgh Procurement function in our Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating and managing supplier contracts to ensure commercial compliance with internal and external governance.
  • Contribute to developing sourcing strategies at all phases of the product lifecycle, managing and reporting on work packages, and working independently.
  • Involved in supplier account management activities, including market analysis of supplier pricing to ensure price reasonableness and reporting.
  • Prepare and present contract compliance packs for internal audit and external government bodies or their agencies.
  • Manage supplier delivery performance of NPI contracts throughout the contract lifecycle, identifying and managing risk and opportunity.
  • Deploy SAP activities to carry out the job effectively, especially in relation to contract creation.
Requirements
  • IT literate with MS Office and SAP knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of trade/export compliance.
