About the Role

Thomson LRC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join our team as In-House Counsel for our Global Cybersecurity Company. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating the delivery of legal advice and support across multiple business areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including master services agreements, framework agreements, statements of work, software and licensing agreements, and managed service outsourcing agreements.
  • Legal Risk Management: Identifying key legal risks, advising on their implications for the business, and providing pragmatic, solution-focused advice to minimize legal risks.
  • Legislative Compliance: Monitoring and keeping up to date with legislative changes and relevant case law, and communicating bespoke and practical advice to colleagues within the business.
  • Contract Documentation: Assisting with updating and improving the company's existing contractual documentation.
  • Legal Governance: Assisting in creating an appropriate legal and governance framework for the business and establishing policies and procedures to ensure legal best practices.
  • Advisory Services: Providing legal advice to the company's managed service and security consulting business units and its other internal support functions, such as Sales, Finance, HR, and Marketing.
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with 3+ PQE and a background in commercial contracts law.
  • Ideal experience in negotiating commercial contracts and technology agreements, gained either in an established in-house legal team or a private practice firm.
  • Desirable experience and knowledge of data protection law, intellectual property law, and corporate law.
