Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Façade Design Director to lead our Building Services team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for spearheading the Façade Design Team and working closely with clients in Dubai, the Middle East, and the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Innovation
    • Create concepts and design briefs that meet client requirements and company goals.
    • Add value to designs through innovative solutions and technical expertise.
    • Develop specifications and make decisions that align with company strategy and industry standards.
  • Project Management
    • Monitor designs and manage timely deliverables to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
    • Lead the Façade Design Team, setting performance objectives and fostering personal growth.
  • Business Development
    • Identify and develop talent within the team and establish new roles for proficient in-house delivery of design services.
    • Expand services through strategic partnerships and collaboration with engineering teams.
    • Contribute to business development, nurturing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Provide high-level value engineering led technical expertise when applying structural engineering principles, techniques, and methods to the planning and design of building services projects.
    • Have wide-ranging technical expertise including knowledge of façade structural and thermal calculations, specifications, and performance requirements.
    • Knowledge of FEA programs including non-linear/thermal analysis programs.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Graduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Building Design (Architectural) from a reputable college/university.
      • Preference: Master's degree from a reputable college/university.
    • Experience
      • 20+ years of project experience in shopping malls, hotels, hospitals, and residential & commercial towers, high-rise projects using latest design and construction technologies.

      • Strong knowledge of façade designs.
      • Strong knowledge of scheduling/planning and tracking of progress.
      • Strong interpersonal skills.
      • Strong verbal and writing skills.
      • Awareness/exposure on various system methodologies.
