Job Description

Roxel UK is seeking a highly skilled Stress Engineer to join our team in the design and development of solid propellant rocket motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stress analysis duties, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of rocket motor hardware and propellant charge.
  • Develop and maintain design manuals and knowledge databases.
  • Provide documentation services, including structural analysis and test plans.
  • Support project customer meetings, design reviews, and technical investigations.
  • Deliver key project documentation, including structural analysis and test plans, and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry technical innovations and changes, and lead new technology research programmes.
  • Identify and communicate risks and issues that may impact delivery, including time, quality, and cost.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level in an engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
  • Proficiency in ABAQUS software and Microsoft Office package, particularly Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Experience with CAD modelling and Altair-Hyperworks.
  • Material science knowledge, particularly in composites, viscoelastic materials, and adhesives.
