About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Team Leader to join our dedicated compound team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the site on a day-to-day basis, providing leadership, guidance, training, and support to workers.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Guidance: Lead and support Multi Skilled Operatives (MSOs) in ensuring vehicles are properly located and all movements align with company procedures.
- Quality Control: Guide and assist MSOs in conducting thorough checks to ensure all vehicles meet the company's quality standards.
- Team Support: Serve as the primary point of contact and first line of support for your team, especially in the absence of the Supervisor and Manager.
- Performance Enhancement: Direct, support, and motivate the team to enhance performance.
- Operational Requirements: Assist with operational requirements as defined by the shift supervisor, including evaluating workflows and optimizing staff utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Age and Driving Experience: Be over 25 years old, possess a valid driver's license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposes.
- Shift Work: Be able to work the specified shift times, including a 2-shift rotation between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and weekend coverage on a rota basis.
- Skills and Experience: Be confident in your driving and have experience with automatic and manual vehicles. Have knowledge and working experience within Automotive/Logistics/Distribution operations. Have experience with computer systems and data recording.
